Yes, I'm one of THOSE mamas...

I woke up at 5:30 this morning and my husband was moving around in bed so I asked him what time Declan ate (he is always up 3-3:30am). He said he hadn't got up!! Could it be? Could he seriously be sleeping more than 5 hours?? PTL! Instead of rolling over in my warm bed, I got up and walked through my old creaky 1920s house to go make sure Declan was breathing. What other explanation is there for him to sleep that long except for him not breathing??! Completely irrational, I know. He was peacefully sleeping. Duh. I'm a dork.

This is Declan's "get a life and simmer down, mom" look:

LOL! That face is too perfect!

I remember the first time Ava slept through the night. We were both like....What's wrong with her, is she ok?? :)

You'll be seeing that looking over and over I'm sure. Evan has a similar look he gives me. Your Mama instinct in is full swing, don't you L-O-V-E that? Even though it may make you feel silly, God gave us that characteristic for so many reasons. Kiss that sweet baby face for me. I still haven't met the lil'monkey.

I am loving that look!!!
You're so not a dork....just a new mom! I did the same exact thing the first time our son slept all the way through the night. We both woke up in a panic after the other realized neither of us had been up!! We couldn't run down the hall to his room fast enough!!! After the relief that he was fine, all was well!! :o)

I do that every time I wake up and she's still sleeping...I just can't get used to not waking up to the sound of her fussing or crying or cooing...silence is scary. I hope I'll get over it once she's past the SIDS risk age. Great picture of the little munchkin!
