Oh, and trust me when I say that I think I was MUCH more traumatized by G's tooth loss than he was. And probably still am. The incident didn't roll off my back as I would have liked. Actually, I cried over it that afternoon - so I think you are completely normal for having the reaction you did too. I suppose it's just one more story to tell, eh?
What a boy! It makes me think of my brother, who had stitches all the time as a kid (I had none). The wounds of childhood make for great stories later on, of course...bragging rights for boys. The lost tooth makes him look so grown up, in a way. Poor Mama, though, having to see him hurt.
