toddlerhood, sweet toddlerhood...

Today, Declan has:

-poured a nearly full bottle of honey all over the kitchen floor while I was in the next room for 45 seconds.
-ran away from me at the park chasing after a bird. I tripped and fell where the playground rubber floor meets the concrete and barely caught him before he hit the street. All the while, I'm yelling STOOOOOOP at the top of my lungs. Freakshow (me, that is).
-thrown his ball in the sink at least 10 times.
-dumped my new container of powder in the sink while I, um, went potty 3 feet away. (Who goes to the bathroom sans toddler?!)
-thrown an entire serving of watermelon on the ground except for the piece that landed in his bib. That piece, he was squeezing like it was a towel full of water. (I was changing the laundry...maybe 2 minutes being gone- while he was in the high chair of course)
Speaking of water, he dumped an entire glass of it on one of our dogs. Lovely.

Never a dull moment, eh?

And I thought that I was the only one struggling. When you learn how to master making them listen (about the whole street thing) let me in on the secret.

Hahahah, love it!! Your days following Mr. Active make mine with C. sound dull by comparison (so far anyway but I feel the tides changing!) but I still feel your pain. Indeed, every moment is choc full of excitement when you live with a toddler!

Laughing! This makes me feel better about Ty's slow start on walking. I'll be thankful his mobility is limited, for now!! :)

Sounds EXACTLY like my house. Good to know I'm not alone.

Sounds familiar! Evie does the squeezing food thing, too. She grits her teeth and tightens up every muscle in her body as she juices things. I've heard it's a typical toddler interest in textures that makes them do this, we call her the human juicer.

AWWWW sounds like I am not alone!!!! My almost 3 yr old little boy keeps me on my toes NEVER a dull moment. LOVES to get in the refridgerator and get into stuff- dumped and entire container of marinating cucumbers (marinating in vinegar, water etc...) in the fridge and all over the floor! Tried to pour himself water out of the LARGE Brita pitcher- ALL over the table and floor. It is never ending but I am glad I am not alone:)

LOL, thanks for giving me a good laugh! I can just see him turn around at the park like "what mom?" with you screaming, falling and making a huge scene! Love it!!
